Marguerite R. (Howe) Isbell, 58, of Columbia Cross Roads, Pa., passed away on Thursday, July 26, 2012 at the Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre. She was the loving wife of the late Kenneth P. Isbell who passed away in 1995. The couple married June 28, 1975.
Marguerite was born on Aug. 17, 1953 in Elmira, N.Y., a daughter of the late LaVern F. Howe and Doris M. Barber Howe of Elmira. She was a Southside High School graduate, Class of 1971, and was currently employed as a caregiver at the Martha Lloyd Community. Family was most important to Marguerite, she was happiest when she was spending time with her grandchildren.
Marguerite is survived by her mother Doris; her children Jason Isbell, Shannon (Leonard) Cory, both of Columbia Cross Roads, and Jacob Isbell of Troy; her grandchildren Gabrielle, Isaac, Elizabeth, and Brynne Cory; her sister Verna (Danny) Houston of Wellsburg, N.Y.; her brother Willis J. (Debbie) Howe of Elmira; her uncle Jim Norwood of Elmira; and several nieces and nephews. Marguerite was preceded in death by her father LaVern and her husband Kenneth.
Services will be private and at the convenience of Marguerite's family. The Gerald W. Vickery Jr. Funeral Home Inc., 1093 W. Main St., Troy, Pa., has been entrusted with arrangements.
