Arnold McKerrow, 73, of Elmira, N.Y. passed away on Thursday, Aug. 9, 2012 at ELCOR Health Services in Horseheads, N.Y.
Family and friends are welcome to call from 10-11 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 13, 2012 at the Gerald W. Vickery Jr. Funeral Home Inc., 1093 West Main St., Troy. The funeral service to honor Arnold's life will be held at 11 a.m. following the viewing on Aug. 13 at the funeral home with Rev. Richard Noggle officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
Arnold was born on April 7, 1939 in Columbia Cross Roads, son of the late Charles W. and Kathryn (Seymour) McKerrow. Earlier in his life, Arnold worked as a carpenter with his father, and then went on to work in the maintenance department of Glove House in Elmira, N.Y. He was a member of the Columbia Cross Roads United Methodist Church, and enjoyed playing cards with his family, watching any kind of sporting event on television, gardening, and bowling on the Chamberlain's Garage team.
Arnold is survived by his brothers James (Theresa) McKerrow of Troy and Donald McKerrow of Clearwater, Fla.; his sister Marjorie McKerrow of Bellwood; and several nieces and nephews. His parents and his brothers Charles and Ernest McKerrow preceded him in death.
