Get Smart, Get Screened Event Being Held in Corning

CORNING, NY -- Corning Community College, in cooperation with the Cancer Services Program of Steuben County, the American Cancer Society, Guthrie physician Dr. Marvin Singh, and Guthrie PA Daniel Fracchia, is pleased to present information about a special grant program for the uninsured which is available to residents in every county in New York State. The information session will be held on September 19, 2012 from 9:45 a.m. to 10:40 a.m. or from Noon to 12:40 p.m. in the Triangle Lounge, Commons Building, Spencer Hill campus, Corning, NY.
If you are 40 or older and are uninsured, you can receive free breast, colorectal or cervical cancer screenings. Dr. Singh, Mr. Fracchia, Cancer Services Program Coordinator Sherri DeGaetano, and American Cancer Society Community Mission Manager Sue Moranda present informative sessions on cancer, treatments, screenings, and resources. If you are not 40 or over, you may wish to attend to gather information to pass on to your loved ones, friends, or others.
Dr. Marvin Singh, MD specializes in gastroenterology and hepatology at Corning Centerway. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine - Internal Medicine; and the American Board of Internal Medicine - Gastroenterology/Hepatology. He was educated at Virginia Commonwealth University, School of Medicine, Richmond, VA. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and his fellowship in Gastroenterology at Scripps Clinic/Scripps Green Hospital, in La Jolla, California.
Daniel Fracchia, PA-C specializes in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Corning Hospital and Corning Centerway locations. He is certified by NCCPA, NATA, and AHA. He was educated at Philadelphia University, Philadelphia, PA; Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo, MI; and Mercyhurst College, Erie, PA.
