Mary E. Timm, 71

Mary E. Timm, 71, of Athens, went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, Sept. 27, 2012 at home following a brief illness with her family by her side.

She was born on Dec. 12, 1940 in Ithaca, NY the daughter of the late Russell W. and Gladys Rittenhouse Hollenback.

Mary was a member of the Church of God, Sayre. She was an active member of the Athens Township Volunteer Fire Company, a member of the Bradford County Fire Police, served as their Chaplain, and was a member of the Mountain Spirits Bird Rescue. She is predeceased by her great-grandsons Ayden Shepherd and Dale Thomas Wade III, and grandmother Harriett Braund.

She is survived by her husband of 23 years, William, at home; children Charles and Wyneta Stone of Montrose, and Carletta Stone of Windfall; Steven Stone of Tunkhannock, Michael and Trudy Stone of Athens, and James and Kimberly Stone of Tunkhannock; step-children Tina and Dale Wade of Sayre, Linda Timm of Sayre and Lonnie Timm of Sayre; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; sister Cheryl J. Carey of Towanda; brother Russell Hollenback of Towanda; aunt Veronica Hollenback of Towanda; several nieces, nephews, cousins; and special friends Glenn and Debbie Smith and family.

Friends and family may call from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 30, 2012 at the Athens Township Volunteer Fire Company, 211 Herrick Ave., Sayre. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 4 p.m. with Chaplain Linda Rogers from Athens Township Volunteer Fire Company and the Rev. Edward Reichman from Church of God officiating.
