Bradford County Non-Profits to Benefit from Cash Grants

SAYRE, PA -- Bradford County non-profit organizations will benefit from unrestricted cash grants at the 10th Anniversary Banquet of the Community Foundation for the Twin Tiers. The event will be held Thursday, Nov. 8th at the Towanda Country Club and the purchaser (who must be present at the event) of each drawn ticket will select the Bradford County non-profit to receive the grant ranging from $100.00 to $1,000.00. Local individuals, organizations and businesses have contributed the funds to CFTT for the cash grants to be given away to non-profits.

Tickets to the event are priced at $25.00 per person. Tickets can be purchased at the CFTT office located at 104 W. Lockhart St. in Sayre or by sending payment and the names and addresses of those attending to Susan Storch, 3457 Porter Road, Troy, PA 16947, by October 26th. Any questions call CFTT at (570) 888- 4759 or Susan Storch at (607) 368-4876. Banquet entertainment will be provided by The Towanda Musical Society and by the Sayre Area High School Forensics Team.

The Community Foundation for the Twin Tiers has been improving the present and future life by being a vehicle for people to “give back” and making an impact through grants and giving in Bradford County. One of about 700 community foundations in the U. S., CFTT is a tax-exempt public charity serving the community by creating long-term assets through funds created by philanthropic individuals and organizations. In 2011, over $58,000 in grants was invested in the community through the Community Foundation for the Twin Tiers. The community foundation is “For Good For Ever”.
