While in Canton, Bob stopped into a local pharmacy to purchase a pipe, returning the next day to complain that it didn't smoke satisfactorily. They shared sixty-five years and raised a daughter. Bob worked for a while as an agent for Metropolitan Life Insurance, and eventually purchased the Pierce Insurance Company. Later, Bob expanded his scope of business interests to include Kendall Real Estate and Appraisals. No matter where Bob called home he was a civic minded individual who gave back to his community selflessly. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was a man with an unshakable faith in the Lord and was a regular participant in the Christian fellowship at the Canton Church of Christ (Disciples).
